The countertop is Caesarstone "Lagos Blue". The opposite side of the kitchen has the stove centered on the countertop with no cabinets above it for an open feel. The wall (which is an exterior wall) will be tiled with black slate 12" x 6" pieces, the same as the floor but cut in half. The beam will be left exposed. A shallow wenge wood shelf will provide a visual accent on the wall. The glass wall to the right is the rear wall of the house.
At the left end of the shelf and just below it is a slide-out cabinet with shallow shelves for spices and cooking oils. There is room for this drawer behind the oven enclosure because the countertops on both sides of the kitchen are extra deep, 32" instead of the standard 24". The center aisle is 48" wide.
