The guest bedroom continues the theme of using traditional Japanese touches, with a byobu screen, an Isamu Noguchi paper lamp, a custom-made bedside low cabinet and a traditional scroll.
Originally this room had a window that was 54" off the floor and the room was very dark. We installed a floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door to bring in more light and allow for a view of the sideyard garden (when we moved into the house in 2000 this sideyard was simply a dog run).
Also in the room is an antique Korean chest (below).
